Questions
Can renters and listers both send requests?
Yes. Either person can ask the other to verify, and the recipient can ask the requester to verify too.
Can I see every account they connected?
No. They choose which verified information, accounts and contact details to share. Everything else remains private.
What if they don't share the account we're using to talk?
Anchor will not show or imply that the account was verified. You can ask them to verify and share that specific profile or contact detail before moving forward.
Does Anchor verify the property?
No. Anchor verifies the person and the accounts or contact details they share. It does not verify the property, listing, rental terms or someone's authority to rent or sublet it.
Why not ask for an ID photo?
ID photos can be stolen, altered or reused. Anchor checks the document and live person privately, then shows the result without exposing the document.
What does confirming in the chat prove?
It shows that the verified Anchor owner approved the request and returned a time-limited code through that conversation at a stated time. It is separate from the earlier identity and live-person checks.
Does Anchor guarantee the transaction is safe?
No. Verification gives both people more information about who they are dealing with, but it does not guarantee the property, payment or transaction.
Do I need an Anchor to send a request?
Yes. A free account lets you send requests, receive results and keep your verification records. You do not need to verify your own identity before sending a request.
Do I need an account to view a public Anchor?
No. A public Anchor can be viewed without creating an account.
