Terms of Service

Anchor provides portable human verification. We check that a real person is behind an account using a government ID check and a live selfie, and we let that person link accounts they control so others can confirm those accounts are genuinely theirs.

Anchor verifies identity, account control and specific approvals only. It does not authenticate goods, prove ownership of property, provide escrow, or guarantee delivery or outcomes of any transaction.

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your email and phone secure.

You may only verify your own identity and only link accounts you personally control. Verifying on someone else's behalf, or linking accounts you do not control, is prohibited and will result in revocation.

Do not use Anchor to impersonate anyone, to defraud or harass others, to scrape or resell verification data, to attempt to bypass our checks, or to break any applicable law or the rules of a connected platform.

We may suspend or revoke a verification at any time if we believe it was obtained fraudulently or is being misused.

When you connect a third-party account, you authorise us to read the minimum profile information needed to confirm control of that account. We use the access once to confirm control and do not store third-party access tokens for ongoing use.

You can disconnect any linked account at any time from your Anchor dashboard.

Anchor is provided as is. Verification reduces risk; it does not eliminate it. We do not warrant that a verified person will behave honestly in any interaction or transaction.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anchor is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for losses arising from a transaction between users.

We may update these terms, and will change the date above when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. You may stop using Anchor and delete your account at any time.
